Climb Mount Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho route, 8 days (+1 day in Arusha)

Arusha

Activity Description

Discover the magical landscape during your ascent to Kilimanjaro on the Lemosho route. The spectacular hike through the Shira Plateau is what makes this route truly special. The Lemosho route is the least traveled but most scenic route towards the peak of Kilimanjaro. An ascent via the Lemosho route takes longer than through the Machame route because climbers need to be better acclimatized in this route and, thus, have a better chance to reach the summit! This itinerary includes 8days in the mountain and two extra days in Arusha before and after your ascent. One day before the summit for rest, bag check and meeting the team plus one day after the ascent for rest and exploring Arusha before your departure flight.

The Itinerary for this tour is as follows:

Day 1
Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha City
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, our representative will meet you and drive you to your hotel for your first evening in Tanzania.
On this day before the beginning of your Kilimanjaro experience, our guide will do a briefing during which a gear check shall be made. These essential steps will assure security for all, and increase significantly the level of success. The previously completed and submitted medical form shall be reviewed together. Do not hesitate to inquire for further information. You shall be introduced as well to your trekking mates during the briefing.

You will have the rest of the day off to relax and take off the jet lag. You may enjoy your time by the poolside or just take a short walk around the gardens. If you wish to go into town for some shopping or just a visit we will be happy to arrange for transport and a guide.
